Being a Floridian I was so glad to see those 2 seats flip. We have a legislature that is almost solid rep and our state supreme court is the same. And I just read we have the highest deportation in the country with ice. That is not being broadcast in the news or papers. We have several county sheriffs that are starting to balk at deathsantis' immigration/ice policy. Many agreed to workk with ice and some of the hard core ones are backing out. There is hope that there are still some that have actual human feelings..

Please, if you're going to donate money, go through the individual candidates' campaigns, NOT through a big PAC or SuperPAC. Most of those are scammy, they are more interested in enriching themselves, and many only give a tiny percentage to the candidates, if anything at all.
I can't tell you to be hopeful. It may be your way of protecting yourself from disappointment. I can tell you that there is reason to be, and that if you can find and nurture a shred of optimism, you'll be much better equipped to fight back with your whole heart.

I've read several articles about personal investments being made before the strikes we made on Iran. You're right, why are the investments/purchases not being reported to us! It seems so much of the media has forgotten its mission to inform. Feels more like they are trying to keep the news from us instead of giving it to us. Of all their threats and b.s. that is one of the things that frightens me the most - losing our right to know. No Kings Marches are a good thing. The trouble is, they're only on weekends, and not even every weekend. We need to follow the example of the French, and the South Koreans. They marched every day until they got the results they wanted. The didn't stop on Monday, and resume on Saturday, they stayed the course. The raised hell all week, every week, until there were results. That's what marches need to do. Stay marching. Don't stop marching. Constant pressure is what gets results, not a tap or a punch here and there. The politicians are well aware of how marches go. Here today, gone and forgotten tomorrow.
I know plenty of people, who stay at it daily. Many subscribe here. I also think the NK Marches are hugely important from a mental health standpoint. People gain strength by knowing they are not alone.

Every Democratic Administration in my lifetime has represented the people far better than any Republican. I admit there are things in our government that need to change. You have a point there, but these special elections have been local ones. A national election would be easier to mess with all at once. For each local election, hackers would need to have local people helping them.

Since the Republican was expected to win, and did, you wouldn't think anything fishy would have happened, but evidence was found nonetheless. My guess is they used that election as a testing ground - safe Republican seat, so they manipulated it only to change the size of Van Epps' margin. In this way, they could see how well their tactics would work without attracting (much) attention.

Yes, great that these local elections are voting in Democrats. But, I believe that Elon Musk after working on the Romanian national election several years ago figured out how to change a national election. He admitted that his work was to learn how to change the voting outcome of Romania. If you aren't following my reasoning, remember that right after our 2024 national election, Putin told Musk, "Remember to tell Trump that he owes us." We ARE being ruled in a way that only people who hate the value of our country would rule it. In Trump's mind, the evidence that he has many in this country who despise him and who vote against him is reason enough for him to feel no loyalty. Since all 7 swing states, all of which Trump was losing to, ended up appearing to vote for Trump, I worry that Musk and Putin know how to pull off a statewide total that would appear to be won by Trump.
This is the reason I suspect for wanting to abolish mail-in ballots. Those have a paper trail and coding on each ballot that make it difficult to tamper with. Same-day voting machines seem easier to manipulate, call yourself a winner, leave Ds to call the election rigged, and then proceed to call them conspiracy theorists while the truth takes too long to discover. That keeps them in power in the mean time, plus do we have protocols for what happens if the true winner is discovered after installing the loser? I have no idea how feasible this is, but I know I don't trust the people who are working hard to stay in dictatorial power.

It is a little over 7 months until the midterms. It is being recommended that Democrats organize to go in groups to vote if at all possible to make ICE think twice about messing with them. I don’t mean for us to focus on the potential loss. I mean we need to put in some extra effort to prevent that loss. I don’t have the technical expertise to counter any hacking efforts, but there are people who do. We need them to step up to the plate if they haven’t already done so. We need the DNC to release the autopsy of the 2024 election. We need to support efforts like Election Truth Alliance. www.electiontruthalliance.org. Last I checked, it was not possible to arrange a monthly donation to them or to smartelections.us either. It’s time for me to manually make another donation, so I’ll let you know if they have fixed whatever glitch it is that blocks monthly contributions.

They’re not going to reveal their hand by hacking the primaries. They will save that trick for the general election. Dems had better be prepared for it, but since they don’t even want to discuss election technological malfeasance, I doubt they will be.

It is a little over 7 months until the midterms. It is being recommended that Democrats organize to go in groups to vote if at all possible to make ICE think twice about messing with them. Bullies like easy targets. Make it hard on them. Putting the United into United States will drive them back onto their heels. Out number them just as they are trying to do to intimidate voters. The enemy is sly and only by outwitting them can all their manipulation be thwarted. No Kings!

Thank you for your compliment, John. The right planned Project 2025 for years. It has taken decades of GOP manipulation to get to this point as well. To stop and reverse them will take planning & coordination. There are 7 months to midterms and 2 years and 9 months until the next federal election in order for the left to counter. We need more Corey Bookers. To get more senators of principle, voting will be essential. If it is not, because of effective election tampering, then the fine example of the founding fathers may need to be followed to get out of this deeper fascist hellscape which awaits. Let's hope it doesn't come to that, but again, preparation is half the battle.
