WHAT’S A PETRO-TERRORIST?

Like “narco-terrorist” it is a made-up word now describing Drumpf who invaded Venezuela to capture its oil reserves. With no proof, his illegal war justified by claiming Maduro led gangs & drug lords. Putin is so proud!

He tried in the first three days. The difference is that Ukrainians fought heroically and people in government did not make a pact with Putin to sell Zelensky and the country. In Venezuela instead it looks like a coup negotiated with Trump with some theatrics around it to make it look like the us military did something amazing. Venezuelans won't get anything out of this. It will all be a grift from now on.

I agree with you, Earl. But, and this is hard to admit, I’m losing faith that enough of us in this country have what it takes to turn this tide. I just don’t see it. And that makes me simultaneously terrified, enraged, and depressed.

I believe we already have surrendered. Where is Democratic leadership? Where is the press? Where are GW Bush, Obama and Biden? Pence, Romney, Ryan? Boehner? McCarthy? Anyone who has had a leadership post in either party over the last 10 -15 years? Where is the outrage? I ask every day. All I hear is silence. Silence and that the Dow is up. I guess everyone had a great Christmas. Personally, I have been appalled since 12/12/2000 when the Supreme Court usurped the democratic process and SELECTED who was going to be President. Everyone had a nice Christmas that year too I guess. WAKE UP AMERICA. Or is it too late? Has the empire fallen already?

This is his most dangerous attempt, so far, to push the Epstein files off of the world's radar. Albeit, with ulterior motives added for extra measure. It is going to take the outrage of world leaders, pushing back and shunning this dangerous fool to even begin a conversation, an action, to remove him. He has the corrupt right wing politicians, billionaire sycophancy and the SC behind him. And we have no power to speak of - except voices with no bully pulpit. Millions in the streets at No KIngs rallies barely made media broadcasts and were minimized in papers of record. We are not a people who organically protest in the streets as Europeans, Asians do. Our lethargy and disinterest are endemic. I can only hope I am wrong, that an invasion of a country in our side of the world will activate engagement and that Dems don't follow their usual 'shrug the shoulders' response. We need help, we need action, we need to stop this authoritarian regime and every illegal, immoral act they get away with strengthens their grip on our democracy - or at least what's left of it.

Our last war of conquest was the Spanish American War, in 1898, 128 years ago, it was a congressionally declared war. The Mexican American War, a declared war, was 1846-1848, 180 years ago. Donald Trump declared war on Venezuela independently without even consulting congress. He made it clear he wants their oil. After watching today's news conference, it should be clear to all that he's proving to be dangerously mentally ill. He's going to run Venezuela? He can't even run the White House or what's left of it. Likely our GOP controlled congress won't do shit, so I'll see you in the streets.

A coinciding concern of mine is that the military is blithely going along with these clearly illegal strikes. Do they believe his lies? Do they think a pardon is available?

Obviously, getting rid of this orange sewer blob is of maximum importance, but then we have to deal with the couch fornicater and the existing cabinet, which is pulling the strings.

We can't wait until next January and impeach on Article 2, Section 4 which can get rid of the entire cabinet and all appointees. We are in a bad, bad place.

Let me take a moment to do a reality check. The Republicans in the House and the Senate will NEVER impeach and remove him from office. The Democrats can't do it alone. I try so very hard to keep up with the news and keep my spirits up. It's really hard. We actually invaded another country and kidnapped the President of that country. I'm still trying to wrap my arms around that. Boots on the ground? He said boots on the ground. Woo hoo, bet MAGA isn't happy. All for oil. All for oil. It fries my brain and breaks my heart.

The fact that his actions are similar to Maduro's (in that he was found guilty, he is in power, and no rule of law is stopping him), he has no business going into any country. The fact that we are no better than Venezuela's regime at this point. Incredibly, we have a "conservative" regime at the helm, and they are thugs, disgusting, and ignorant -- we all know that is what corruption is.
