In short, SCOTUS has said that one man, the president, has unlimited, unchecked power. Seriously? So inaugurations will now become coronations?
Until we clean up SCOTUS there is little hope we have much of a future. Start by impeaching Judge Cannon for her disgusting rulings in the Jack Smith docs case. No doubt the fix was in on day one.

If we learn anything from this, we need to redo government so absolute concentration of power in one person no longer continues. Independent agencies need to be independent. DOJ needs to be independent so it can be free of political meddling. An office of Inspector General should not be under the thumb of the president. Civil service and the military cannot be dismantled by mass firings without due cause. The firings of senior leaders primarily women or black is illegal.

My father, Martin Winn Pvt. 1st Class served in Italy as an airborne photo reconnaissance soldier during World War II, and I found this picture of him at the end of the war, holding your historical newspaper announcing the end of World War II and Germany’s surrender.

Impeachment is useless as long as Republicans hold 1/3 +1 of the seats in the Senate.
