Inside the story continues with this headline: "Failure of billionaire tax to crack 50% support could be a red flag." Previous stories were designed to drive a wedge into the coalition, with the state employees board staying neutral. I sent them an email asking why I should continue to support a union who is neutral on taxing billionaires. Sometimes the LA Times calls it a wealth tax and sometimes they call it a billionaire tax. It is a billionaire tax. Most of us think that anyone earning a million a year is wealthy, many even less than that. The LA Times strategy is clearly based on protecting their billionaire owner who is a Trump supporter.
